Young at Heart
Whether you are busily retired, having trouble getting out of the house or somewhere in between, you are warmly invited to join our community.
Some of us have a long tradition of going to church and others are just dipping a toe in the water. Whether you want to grow and be encouraged in your faith, or are just looking for some friendly faces, you are welcome here. Have transport trouble or special needs? Give our office a call and we'll do our best to help.
In addition to our Sunday services, we meet during the week for social activities, sharing stories, prayer and lots of tea! Contact us for more information about any of the following:
Knit & Natter
Bring along your own project or join in a group creation. We can supply materials and expertise.
Friday Coffee Group
The coffee group meets every week in the Lighthouse Cafe at St Andrew's between 10am - noon for a yarn over a cup of tea or coffee and a biscuit for a small contribution to the kitty. No need to call ahead or register, just turn up.
Friday Club
Friday Club is a monthly get together at St Andrew's for villagers who find it hard to get out and about. If you don't have transport, we have a link-up with the Good Neighbour Scheme who can offer a lift. Guests arrive about 10am, check in and have a cuppa, followed by activities in various parts of the building, including gentle exercise, craft, card and board games such as dominoes, table tennis (or just watching!) plus plenty of time to chat. We have a home cooked or fish & chip type lunch followed by entertainment in the hall and go home about 1.30pm. Guests must be registered with Friday Club before they attend to ensure we can meet your needs. There is a contribution of £4 per head to pay on the door. Please phone the office to find out more 01753 642331.
Life Groups
Small groups that meet once a week in someone's home to build friendships, read the bible and pray together.
Need a visitor?
If you would like a visit from our Vicar, Natasha, to you or a loved one, you will find her contact details here.
Energy to spare?
We love to serve our community - from making tea at the toddler group to polishing the brass, giving someone a lift to church or mowing the churchyard. Explore our Get Involved page to see the full list.
Why not come along and visit us this week? Give the office a call and we will do all we can to help you find your feet.
