Our next course
Navigating the Storms of Life
suitable for everyone and anyone
In a broken world, tough times are inevitable, the winds and waves can rock your boat, but God hasn’t left you to steer your ship alone through treacherous waters. His Word gives you a way forward, with hope.
The course is FREE and is comprised of 4 separate sessions, with 4 different topics, so just come along to those sessions that interest you. Each begins with a video that introduces the topic and includes helpful advice. Please join us with your questions or just sit and listen. The topics are:
Swept Out to Sea – Tuesday 24th March
Truth – Tuesday 31st March
Wisdom – Tuesday 14th April
Faith – Tuesday 21st April
The course will run weekly from 7pm to 9pm, commencing on Tuesday 24th March 2026 at St. Andrew’s Centre, Rogers Lane, Stoke Poges SL2 4LN.
The course has been created by Dalene Reyburn, bestselling author of ten books. She shares truth, courage, and hope at www.dalenereyburn.com, contributes to various platforms including YouVersion, and preaches at Reading Family Church. Dalene believes that as Jesus changes our hearts, we can change the world, for His glory and the fame of His
name. She has a master’s degree in Applied Language Studies. She and her family are proudly South African, currently living in England.

Join us for our GROW sessions
Our All Age Service at 11am on the first Sunday of the month at St Andrew's has been replaced by a new style of service - GROW.
Revd Natasha is inviting the whole congregation from both of our churches to join in. There will be worship music, a short talk or video and then discussion in small groups. We will follow the topics of the course towards understanding our purpose as a church in our community, drawing people closer to Jesus and inviting others to start their journey, growing in number and faith. We will be looking for feedback as we go through the course and this is ONLY on first Sundays - our other 11am services and those at St Giles' will be in their usual format.
If you haven't been to first Sunday services at 11am for a while, why not try out this new format and see what it's about?
You can find a 4 minute introduction video on the Grow Course at
https://ccx.org.uk/grow-course/ The course facilitators from our congregation have already been selected and will be attending the sessions described in the video with other local churches and then coming to lead our Stoke Poges Church Grow sessions.
Got questions about life?
Ask at Alpha.
Alpha is a place to ask the big questions of life. Connect with others online to watch a series of episodes and explore the Christian faith together.
What is Alpha?
Alpha is a series of sessions exploring the Christian faith, run over eleven weeks. Each talk looks at a different question around faith and is designed to create conversation. Alpha is going online this time so all can come. Everyone is welcome.
A chance to connect
Usually, Alpha starts with a meal together but during this time of social distancing we’ve needed to adapt. Each session still kicks off with a chance to meet new people and connect over video chat! Feel free to rock up with your own drink and nibbles. After all we are here to socialise !
Watch an episode
The Alpha episodes are about 30 minutes long. Packed with interesting facts and thoughts to inspire you to discuss and unpack the basics of Christianity. Each week brings a new topic - addressing such questions as Who is Jesus?, How can we have faith ? How does God guide us?
Space to share your thoughts
This is the most important part of Alpha. Your chance to share thoughts, ideas on the topic and discuss openly in a small group. You can say anything or nothing. This is your opportunity to be heard and to listen to others perspectives in an honest, friendly and open environment.
If you are interested in taking part in our next Alpha Course, please contact Natasha.
