Working on our new normal...

We are opening our places of worship gradually, safely and in line with government advice.
There is a new timetable and letter below from Natasha regarding services from 16th August

Both churches will now be open for private prayer:
St Giles'          Sunday - Tuesday 10am -noon
St Andrew's       Wednesday - Friday 10am -noon

Service Calendar Aug-Sep 20Dear Friends,
Thank you for all your support and prayers while I took some compassionate leave, it was appreciated.

As you know we are re-opening our buildings at the rate current Government guidelines allows for, and this is frustrating for some, and overwhelming for others.  Yet as 1 Corinthians 12:12 reminds us:

“Just as a body, though one, has many parts,
but all its many parts form one body,
so it is with Christ.”

Therefore we are continuing our journey as One but I thought , as things have been a little disjointed of late, it was only right to share with you the time table for the next few weeks. Highlighting the services we have available for you until end the summer holidays.  Use this information to help you pray, think and plan out which services suit your current needs so you can attend … either in person, or online.

We are recommencing Mid Week Communions in St Andrew’s Chapel from Wednesday 26th August: 11am.  They will follow the style we have had online.

From Sunday 6th September the 4pm service at St Andrew’s will re-start with an All age Service, followed by a Picnic in the Gardens afterwards.  So bring some food and a blanket .. as we explore the Feeding of the 5,000.

Our priority for now, is to remain faithful to the one who saves, support one another in loving acts of service and kindness, and remember this is a season with God’s Grace, in which we will grow.

God Bless & Stay Safe

As a reminder, to ensure we are all kept safe the following guidelines still need to be followed:

  • Masks are required indoors by government guidelines from 8th August.

  • Hand sanitisers must be used as you enter.

  • No singing, chanting or shouting

  • Remain seated to reduce accidental contact

  • Service sheets to be taken home by worshippers

  • A one - way system to come in and out of the buildings has to be used

  • Please follow the signs already in situ and take note of the Covid-19 guidance posters dotted around.

  • At St Giles’ the main front door is your only point of access. Arrangements have been made with the Memorial gardens for those who drive to park on the path and come through the pedestrian gate.

  • At St Andrew’s the Main Door to the side of the hall is the only point of entry.

  • Gifts and Offerings are to be placed on the giving plate, which will be on the Font at St Giles, and the entrance table at St Andrew’s.

As stated before we will keep this under constant review so please keep an eye on our website and the Friday News.  If you know someone who needs to have a paper version delivered, so you are kept in the loop, then please contact Debbie in the office who will arrange this.

Please continue to pray for our PCC and all those in leadership.  We are planning and seeking God’s grace and guidance for our future as we continue in our mission to Love God & Love people.

Remain safe, and know that you are in our prayers …
